About the Qualification
Functional Skills Level 2 Maths is a qualification that is the equivalent to a GCSE Maths qualification worth a PASS grade. It can be used as a substitute qualification if you require a grade of C or 4 for a job or education. The qualification is Ofqual approved, which is the highest form of regulation in the UK. So it will be widely accepted by all education and job providers. Extremely useful for those who, for whatever reason, were unable to obtain their GCSE Maths certificate in school. Who now may require it for things like:
-
Apprentiships
-
College Courses
-
University Degrees
-
Policing
-
Nursing
Passing Your Exam
As Functional Skills is the equivalent to a PASS grade, you can’t get anything higher. It is significantly easier to receive than say, retaking your GCSE Maths. It also benefits from being a lot more flexible than the GCSE course and exam. This is because the GCSE exams are only able to be taken 2 times a year (May and November). And taking the course itself can take up to 2 years. Meanwhile, the Functional Skills Level 2 Maths exam can be taken all year round. You could book your exam, take it, and receive your results in less than a month.
